How does an owner benefit by having Test & Balance performed on his building?
There are many benefits an owner will experience when the building is professionally tested and balanced. Lower maintenance costs, energy conservation, verification of proper installation and improved system performance. Environmental benefits include proper temperature, humidity, air movement, cleanliness, comfort and improved indoor air quality. Fluid Dynamics, Inc. assures an independent, impartial analysis of the mechanical systems.

What is the AABC Quality Assurance Program?
AABC receives constant feedback on the performance of its members through the quality assurance program. As projects are completed, members are asked to submit copies of the National Performance Guaranty with the name and address of the engineer to AABC Headquarters for follow-up. A brief survey is sent to the customer, requesting feedback about the member's performance. Information from the survey, whether positive or negative, is shared with the member for additional follow-up if necessary. The program provides members with a standardized method by which to receive comments about their performance and allows engineers and building owners to communicate their concerns and/or satisfaction quickly and easily.

What does AABC mean by independence?
AABC Policies and Procedures state:
"To qualify as independent, a test and balance company must have no affiliation with manufacturers of equipment or system components, installing contractors, engineering firms, architects, or any other person or company which could affect the ability of the member to render an independent test and balance report."
The requirement that all members be independent is key to providing consistently excellent test and balance services, and is the cornerstone of AABC.
